Some couples make a photo session feel effortless.
From the very first moment, it was easy to see how much Joanly and Josué enjoyed being together.
Their energy, their laughter, and the excitement they shared made this Love Story session in Old San Juan one of the most fun sessions I have had the opportunity to photograph.
With their wedding day approaching, we spent the afternoon exploring one of Puerto Rico's most iconic locations and creating photographs that reflected who they are as a couple.
Exploring Old San Juan Together
A few days before the session, we were keeping a close eye on the weather.
Rain was expected, and like many couples planning an outdoor photo session, Joanly and Josué were hoping the weather would cooperate.
Fortunately, the day arrived with perfect conditions.
The rain stayed away, and we were able to enjoy a beautiful afternoon walking through the colorful streets of Old San Juan.
Its historic architecture, vibrant colors, and unique character provided the perfect backdrop for their Love Story.
But as beautiful as the location was, the real focus was always Joanly and Josué.
A Love Story Full of Laughter
From the first photograph, Joanly and Josué brought incredible energy to the session.
They were relaxed.
They were excited.
And most importantly, they had fun.
That is always one of my favorite parts of photographing a Love Story session.
There is no need to rush.
It is simply an opportunity for a couple to spend time together, enjoy the experience, and celebrate this exciting chapter of their lives.
The best photographs often happen between the poses.
During a laugh.
A conversation.
Or one of those moments when two people simply forget that the camera is there.
The Perfect Place for an Engagement Session
Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, continues to be one of my favorite locations for engagement and Love Story sessions.
Every street has its own personality.
The colorful buildings, historic architecture, and unexpected corners make it possible to create a completely different experience with every couple.
For Joanly and Josué, it was the perfect place to capture the excitement leading up to their wedding day.
And this was only the beginning.
